Public Awareness Subcomm

                                                    MISSION

Gather and disseminate fact-based information to Fayette County residents on issues related to the Marcellus Shale drilling and its effects on the health, welfare and quality of life of the public 

                                              ACTION ITEMS

  • Provide information on how to participate in webinars, seminars for fact-based information
  • Schedule public presentations on issues concerning environment, natural resources, leasing, etc
  • Provide information for the public to have access to agencies, local governments etc to voice their concerns
  • Provide contact information for the companies engaged in drilling, setting up compressor stations and treating/hauling water
  • Provide site local information on the companies engage in the above
  • Disseminate information regarding local hearings/petitions before county and local boards
  • Develop a mechanism to receive and respond to questions and issues from the public

Chevron has established a Community Hotline 1- 877-847-8408 as well as a web address
ambuhotline@chevron.com. If Fayette county residents have questions regarding Chevron operational practices, environmental performance, safety issues etc. the Hotline or website is available.
